(PETE) MCCARN, CFP® Welcome back! Whether you went on the cruise or did the latest big thing, the Staycation, you have returned just in time to realize that …well, not very much has changed. Yeah, I know, the Dems have apparently settled on Obama and the GOP…well, you knew how that was going to work out. (How long have you been gone, anyway?) The financials have continued the approach to oblivion, with only a bounce now and then. It’s hot and everybody is in a really bad mood. Bloomberg Radio has pronounced that the Jefferson County Sewer board has busted it in an historic manner… another dose of the worst to your clients. They are seriously uncertain… So, what are you going to do? I suggest that you might spend more time than usual talking to your clients. Read more, think more, and above all, listen more. Take care of yourself, especially your attitude! When I’m in a funk about the markets, it relaxes me to put on a suit and go see a client. Call them! Have a coherent voicemail message in mind. The confidence you express to them, even in a voicemail, will come through as an important encouragement. We are in a great profession. It isn’t easy, sometimes. But you know that. Hail and Farewell Please welcome Pat Morris as our new Chapter Executive! She brings a wealth of skill and experience to our efforts and has shown great enthusiasm and energy in learning the ropes. You can expect that she will do a great job! Say hello to her when you see her at the next meeting... At the same time, we are sorry to see Sarah Pierce leave us. Sarah has done exceptional work in keeping the Chapter organized and has also been most helpful in coordinating the transition. We wish her well and hope she will keep us informed as she and Wes introduce a new baby into the Pierce household!
